The Filk Film Project (working title) is being made by Market Street Films.
The film makers are Karen Praxel, Jim Hanks, Erin Kean and Darrin Kean.

Erin, Darrin, Jim and Karen at Gafilk. And Spot, too!

Market Street Films is a fledgling production company, based in Venice
Beach, Ca, which is committed to smart, creative, independent films.

Karen Praxel is one of the founding members. Her background is mostly in acting
but she has done some writing and is excited about producing. Although life
before ConChord 2005 did not really include fandom Karen has always read a
lot of science fiction and fantasy and has attended a Star Trek convention.
Life outside of 'the biz' is spent underwater as an avid scuba diver, a
scientific diver and an underwater photographer.

Jim Hanks (Karen's husband) has been in the entertainment business about
twenty years, having been in front of the camera for most of it. Even
appearing in a couple of Science Fiction films! Jim is a die-hard scuba
diver and began his camera operating passion underwater. Taking it topside
seemed the natural progression. He has already participated in documentary
film making and currently contributes in the shooting of a piece on Autisim.

By day, Erin is a victims' advocate and domestic violence and rape counselor
in Nashville, Indiana. She is happily married to Darrin and is mother to
three year old Rowyn Ceil, who is both the frustration and the light of her
life. In her parallel life, she teaches and practices hatha yoga, makes a
stab at writing her book, and fumbles around on her guitar (look for a
performance at an upcoming con?!?).

Darrin is a third generation carpenter who designs, builds, and installs
custom wall and floor coverings all over the United States. He is an avid
science fiction fan and is addicted to Battlestar Galactica (Galact-addict?)
In his precious little spare time, Darrin enjoys spending it around the
house with his family, surrounded by his one thousand science fiction
paperback books. He is currently working on his first filk song.
